Founded in 1878, Queen’s has a long history as a centre of excellence for teaching girls in Cheshire and continues to maintain an outstanding reputation.

Started with just 16 pupils, the school has now grown to teach more than 600 girls who come from up to 50 miles away from across Chester, the Cheshire villages, Wirral and North Wales. The most recent ISI inspection graded the school as ‘excellent’ (the highest grade awarded by the ISI) in every category.

Facilities exist over two sites and now include new buildings such as a swimming pool, ICT suite, library, fitness suite and the Sport and Fitness Centre.

Academic results are consistently excellent and the school’s focus on the personal development and welfare of its pupils is leading the way in the pastoral care of girls nationally. The school’s values of Learn, Think, Contribute, Care underpin everything staff do.

Being a small school, Queen’s is able to individually focus on each of its pupils with the right level of support and challenge to bring out the best in all.
